Yesterday afternoon, The Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps humbly accepted a donation and heartfelt note of gratitude from Nancy Reyer, Mother of Michael Hubbard.

Michael was critically injured May 28th, 2011 when a gel candle exploded during a backyard mishap. Riverhead Ambulance treated and transported Michael to Stony Brook University Medical Center.

Over the years since the tragic event, Riverhead Ambulance assisted Michael’s family in anyway possible with his care including transporting him to Blythedale Children’s Hospital in upstate New York for rehabilitation.

Sadly after a long and tough recovery, Michael passed away on June 21st 2019.

We will always cherish Michael’s memory and we thank his family for their generous support.
