Is Falling a Consequence of Getting Older? No!

Getting older can increase your risk factors for falling such as worsening eye sight and decrease in muscle strength. A majority of falls are preventable. Falls can cause short or long term disability for patients. Last week was Falls Prevention Awareness Week and the members at RVAC would like to help prevent falls in our community. Please see the attached tip sheets and links for tips and resources to help keepin your home safe to prevent falls and what you can do to decrease your risk of falling.

Please remember if you need assistance in the event of a fall, please call 911, and will respond to help you in your time of need.
