| At Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps, we believe that the best way to prepare for real emergencies is through hands-on training. Recently, our trainees participated in a simulated call at Stotzky Park designed to test their skills and teamwork.
What began as a routine single-patient scenario quickly evolved into a two-patient emergency. This unexpected turn gave our probationary members the opportunity to integrate everything they’ve been learning in their training classes over the past few months — from patient assessment and communication to teamwork under pressure.
The exercise highlighted just how far our newest members have come in such a short time. Their dedication, hard work, and willingness to learn are what keep our organization strong and our community safe.
We are incredibly proud of their progress and excited to see them grow into the next generation of EMTs and community leaders.
If you’ve ever thought about helping your neighbors in their time of need, now is the perfect time to get involved. Join our team of dedicated volunteers and make a difference right here in Riverhead. |
